The search goes on!. I had substantial hopes for these bulbs. I at least had the restraint to restrict my purchase to two bulbs. I’m not positive whether they deserve a 2 or 3 star rating, but they seem to be properly made, run very cool and are just about as vivid as the 25w incandescents they are replacing. The box says that they are rated at 35,000 (!) hours, so with any luck they’ll even now be bugging me 10 many years from now. I believed at first that it may just be my eyes playing tricks on me, so I got my camera, set its white balance for sunlight, and took a snap. (Well, not that massive. In 2021, I’ll be sure to update my evaluation with relevant facts. If you (like me) have been waiting for a purely natural-light replacement for small bulbs, I never feel this is what you are looking for. I had some worries about going with the “natural” light, so I checked the manufacturer’s website. I have 8-bulb fixtures in my bathrooms and was hoping to get rid of the incandescent bulbs that seem to be to consistently want replacement, and perhaps conserve a penny or two in the process. Huge mistake. . . It’s possible the “warm white” bulb would be much better, but I was actually hoping to get away from the yellowish incandescent end of the spectrum. Certain adequate: green. Other than the nasty fluorescentish colour, they are actually a good product. )They impart a definite green cast to every thing.
